Our quest in 1977 was to find a place with abundant water, privacy, and potential to make our living, grow our own food, and raise our children and ourselves. Our great good fortune was finding this place in a holler high up in a mountain community in Madison County, NC. We moved here with milk goats, chickens, dogs, cats, horses, and the rest is history…
